What’s happening

From 2 to 9 August 2026, the city will welcome around 800,000 visitors for eight days of traditional Irish music, dance, song and culture. Expect everything from world-class competitions and live performances to street entertainment, pub sessions and concerts, with venues spread across the city centre.

To help keep everyone safe during the festival, parts of Belfast city centre will be closed to traffic throughout the week. If you're planning to visit, cycling is one of the quickest and easiest ways to travel between venues without worrying about road closures, parking or congestion.
