Beryl e-scooters are coming to Plymouth

Beryl's shared e-scooters are coming to Plymouth as part of the UK Government’s National E-Scooter Trial, providing residents and visitors with another convenient and sustainable way to travel. The new e-scooters will operate alongside our existing e-bike scheme, with both services continuing to be available across the city. Like our bikes, every e-scooter journey starts and ends at a designated Beryl Bay.

Designed specifically for safe urban travel, Beryl e-scooters feature front and rear lights, GPS-enabled Go-Slow Zones, reliable braking and controlled parking to support responsible riding. To get started, simply unlock an e-scooter in the Beryl app, enjoy your journey, then return it to a designated Beryl Bay to end your ride.

For everything you need to know about the trial, including eligibility, how it works, FAQs and safety guidance, visit our dedicated Plymouth e-scooter information page or learn more through our free Scoot Happy training programme.
